Trim Carpenter — Up to $30/hour Job Description
We are seeking a versatile trim carpenter who is skilled not only in trim carpentry but also in a variety of trades. The ideal candidate will excel in carpentry, including formwork and rough carpentry, be proficient with power tools, and have experience in selective demolition. Compliance with company policies and OSHA guidelines is essential. The role involves everything from initial conceptual development to project completion.
Responsibilities- Operate and maintain construction equipment.
- Assist equipment operators, carpenters, and skilled labor as needed.
- Prepare construction sites by clearing obstacles and hazards.
- Handle loading and unloading of materials.
- Assemble and dismantle temporary structures, like scaffolding.
- Excavate, fill, or compact earth.
- Support craft workers.
- Engage in on‑job training.
- Understand construction design, technical plans, blueprints, and models.
- Read plans, use mathematics for layout, and solve problems effectively.
- Communicate effectively in English and comprehend instructions.
- Travel to job sites as required.
- Competent in framing and finishing work.
- Ability to install doors, hardware, and cabinets.
- Proficient in layout and use of sight level/transit.
- Capable of shooting grades/elevations.
- Experience with concrete finishing and setting forms.
- Ability to tie rebar, install ceiling grids, and tile.
- Skilled in drywall work and digging footings.
- Minor plumbing and electrical work proficiency.
- Ability to read drawings and shop details.
- Experience with installing backing and field verifications.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to lay brick and block.
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong organizational skills and goal‑setting abilities.
- Proficiency in hand and power tools.
- General labor experience.
- Ability to travel to job sites as needed.

Work EnvironmentYou will primarily be working on commercial new builds, engaging in tasks from trim, rough, and finish carpentry to assisting with pre‑engineered metal structures. Flexibility is key as projects are primarily based in Lincoln, with potential travel to surrounding job sites.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lincoln, NE.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 – $30.00/hr.
