Base pay range: $19.00/hr – $35.00/hr.

Position Summary:

As a General Facilities Maintenance Technician at a local Walmart retail store, you will execute routine maintenance tasks to uphold the safety, functionality, and aesthetics of Walmart Stores, equipment, or fixtures. Under the supervision of the General Maintenance Manager, you will adhere to established maintenance schedules and guidelines, conducting inspections, cleaning, and repairs. You will contribute to a fast‑paced, welcoming environment that enhances the customer experience.

• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets utilizing multiple craft skills (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment) and tools.
• Utilize the work order management system to receive and document reactive repair work orders for Stores and associates.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required training requirements to operate equipment and tools safely.

• 18 years or older
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Can lift up to 50 lbs. at a time
• Can move up and down ladders frequently
• Comfortable working at heights frequently
• Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
• Able to work in various temperatures.
• Hold a valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report.
• Vocational or Technical certification and 1 year experience, or 2 years total work experience, in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or a related trade.
