Business Development Representative (BDR)

Location - Lincoln, NE

Maptician is a fast-growing SaaS platform helping organizations modernize how they manage conference rooms, desk booking, hybrid work, and space utilization. With hundreds of customers across professional services and beyond, we are building a scalable, predictable revenue engine, and our BDR team is foundational to that success.

This role is designed for someone early in their sales career who is eager to learn, highly motivated to develop strong prospecting and communication skills, and excited to grow into a long-term sales role. Success will be measured by bookings made for Account Executives (AEs) alongside creative lead generation approaches and execution.

Responsibilities
  • Research and identify target accounts that align with Maptician’s ideal customer profile.
  • Execute outbound outreach via email, phone, and Linked In using provided messaging and sequences.
  • Personalize outreach with guidance from sales leadership and enablement resources.
  • Support follow‑up from events, webinars, and marketing campaigns.
  • Ideate on new and emerging BDR strategies and try new approaches.
  • Respond to inbound demo requests and marketing leads promptly and professionally.
  • Qualify basic interest and book meetings with Account Executives.
  • Ensure leads are properly logged and routed in the CRM.
  • Conduct initial discovery conversations using provided frameworks and call scripts.
  • Learn to identify prospect pain points related to workplace, space, and hybrid work challenges.
  • Shadow senior BDRs and AEs on calls and demos to accelerate learning.
  • Schedule demos and assist with warm handoffs to Account Executives.
  • Use CRM for tracking, documentation, and assistance in sequencing.
Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
  • 0–2 years of experience in sales, customer service, recruiting, or a customer‑facing role.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to make outbound calls and engage prospects.
  • Coachable mindset and eagerness to learn.
  • Strong organization and time‑management skills.

Preferred (Not Required)

  • Interest in SaaS, technology, and/or B2B sales.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools (Hub Spot a plus).
