Qualifications
- Knowledge of the cattle and feedlot industry required
- Ability to travel both air and surface -- valid driver’s license required
- Comparable experience or Associates or Bachelor Degree preferred in Business Administration, Agribusiness, Economics, Finance, Management, Marketing or other related field.
- Stable and progressive work history
- Experience with basic computer word processing & spreadsheet programs
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and negotiation skills both in person and on the phone
- Ability to gain knowledge of the products and customers within the industries we serve
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Flexible and open to change
- Results oriented
- Able to work independently and communicate within a team environment
- Detail oriented with analytical skills
- In Office Position. 4.5 day regular work week. Ability to commute daily to local office is required.
- Able to work with minimal supervision
- The Cattle Buyer Field Marketing Representative’s primary objective will be to identify large commercial feeder cattle buyers within the feedlot sector.
- Build relationships and educate these buyers on their ability to procure feeder cattle through our products including as well as market finished cattle.
- Handle in-person meetings, as well as in-bound and outbound customer calls and email communications with those customers.
- Sell opportunities for feedlots to market cattle on and
- Travel across North America to feedlots to educate customers in person. Travel expenses are covered per Sandhills Global travel policy.
- Based out of Lincoln, NE and report to that office when not in the field.
- Gather information on trade shows and industry meetings. Research the livestock industry and the proper way to list information on our site, and provide feedback from the industry.
- Work as a team to help ensure the success of the websites and publications. Assume other duties as assigned.
