Overview
Tabitha Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Lincoln, NE is seeking a Culinary Assistant / Server to work 6a - 2:30p. This schedule includes a weekend and holiday rotation.
The Culinary Assistant is responsible for assisting in food preparation, upholding cleaning and sanitary standards, and managing kitchen inventory and supplies.
Responsibilities- Assists with serving meals following diet orders and prepares food to order in dining room as requested by Senior/client.
- Operates dish machine to ensure dishes and silverware are cleaned and sanitized, dried and put away in a timely manner.
- Ensures accurate and timely documentation related to food production, quality, and food safety.
- Ensures food and products are properly acquired, stored, dated and rotated.
- Follows recipes according to appropriate safe food handling procedures, using food service equipment.
- Manages trash and sweeps and mops galley kitchen floor.
- Procurers food from storage areas, freezers, and refrigerators.
- Provides outstanding customer service during guest interactions.
- COMMUNICATION:
Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English, including medical terminology related to the job. - PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to access the work area and safely perform the duties of the job. Vision and hearing within normal limits (with or without correction). Must have unrestricted lift/push/pull ability of 32 pounds. - AGE REQUIREMENT:
At least age 16. - EDUCATION:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. - EXPERIENCE:
Six months of experience in sanitation work in health care or food preparation facility preferred. - CREDENTIALS:
Prep/Cook Level Food Handler Permit required for Tabitha campuses in Lancaster County. Must meet Tabitha’s vaccination requirements.
