APPLICATIONS are now being accepted at the Lincoln County Fair & Event Center for the position of Maintenance and Groundskeeper. This position performs a variety of skilled, semi‑skilled and technical maintenance duties requiring knowledge of various trade skills such as carpentry, electrical, painting, mechanics, HVAC systems, grounds and turf management, vehicle maintenance, lawn and arena equipment maintenance, plumbing, warehousing, and various other necessary skills.

• Responsible for upkeep of the grounds which includes cleaning grounds, removing any litter, upkeep of flower boxes, cutting grass and weed eating.
• Operate lawn care equipment such as weed eater, lawn mower and pruning saws.
• Maintain, set up and move irrigation system on the grounds.
• Operate and use power and hand tools.
• Operate tractor, water truck and arena dragging implements.
• Move and store RVs and boats in buildings for winter storage.
• Opening and closing buildings and grounds for events.
• Minor repairs of buildings and equipment.
• General maintenance of RV park, buildings and barns.
• Any additional tasks given by the Office Manager or County Commissioners.
• Be aware of and always operate within OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Act) standards and Lincoln County Safety policies.

• Valid driver’s license
• 18 years or older
• High School diploma or GED
• Job related or basic skills of lawn and building care
• Experience in operating tractors, water trucks and arena dragging implements

• Lift at least 50 lbs.
• Perform physical tasks continually
• Capable of working alone
• Able to be on feet for 4-5 hours
• Self‑motivated
• Able to follow directions

• Required to work some weekends and evenings, depending on events
• Pay rate is $25.68 per hour plus benefits
