Job Summary
The LPN performs direct resident/patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The incumbent performs nursing assessments, follows the plan of care in accordance with the physician’s plan of treatment, provides nursing services in accordance with current nursing practice, and evaluates resident’s/patient’s response to treatment. The role supports the Village’s mission, values, and service/hospitality (PRIDE) expectations and completes required training hours.

Working days:
Tuesday, Friday, Saturday – Sunday, Thursday.
- Provides direct resident/patient care based on a specific plan and departmental services (e.g., dispensing medication, checking vitals, changing wounds, personal care).
- Reports resident/patient changes, needs, and/or requirements to the Registered Nurse and/or other managing staff in a timely and accurate manner.
- Completes required documentation of nursing care to meet all state and Village requirements.
- Delegates appropriate tasks to care givers and follows up on assignments.
- Performs homemaking and other environmental services when necessary for services provided through the department.
- Adheres to all safety regulations and requirements.
- Handles stress well and maintains good working relationships with coworkers and customers.
- Maintains acceptable standards of workplace conduct.
- Completion of an accredited School of Nursing program.
- Licensed Practical Nurse by the Missouri State Board of Nursing.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, handbooks, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write simple sentences, paragraphs, and correspondence.
- Ability to present information in one‑on‑one and small‑group settings to customers, clients, and associates.
- Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals).
- Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Indoor conditions protect from weather but not temperature changes.
- Exposure to infectious diseases.
- Interaction with individuals having challenged mental capacities.
- May be required to drive to different locations for services.
- Exposure to outdoor elements while accessing a patient’s residence.
- Call upon other departments in a declared emergency situation.
- Occasional lift of 75 lbs from knuckle to waist level; 20 lbs from floor to 48 inches.
- Occasional carry of 20 lbs for 75 ft.
- Push/pull horizontal up to 40 lbs at 40 inches height for 100 ft; frequent push/pull up to 10 lbs at 46 inches for 100 ft.
- Occasional grip force of 40 lbs; lateral pinch force of 15 lbs.
- Occasional climb of 8 inches.
- Frequent forward reach, bend, fine‑motor coordination, foot coordination, balance, sitting, continuous standing, and continuous walking.
