Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Floor Nurse
- Part-Time-Days-Tabitha Nursing and Rehabilitation Center
Eventide-Tabitha is currently hiring for a Part‑time Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a Day shift 6 a.m.–6:30 p.m. (12 hours). This position includes every third weekend and holiday rotation.
Ideal Candidate- At least age 18.
- Successful completion of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse course of study. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 6 months experience as an RN or LPN, preferred.
- RN or LPN License in good standing as recorded on the Nebraska State Registry or other Nurse Compact state required. CPR Required. Licenses/credentials must be kept up to date at the expense of the employee. Must meet Tabitha's vaccination requirements.
Job Duties
- Follows through on physician’s orders in accordance with Tabitha’s policies and procedures, including receiving and recording physician’s orders when appropriate.
- Prepares, administers, and/or supervises the administration of medication, treatments and other nursing services as ordered by the physician and in accordance with facility policies/procedures. Observes seniors/clients for any sign of adverse reaction to medications.
- Assesses seniors/clients assigned to her/him in regard to physical, mental and psychosocial status, reporting condition changes in a timely manner to the immediate supervisor and providing follow‑up with family and physician as directed. Takes and accurately records vital signs.
- Diligently observes senior/client skin per Tabitha policies, proactively taking steps to avoid pressure ulcers.
- Completes procedures and documents the appropriate information on the senior’s/client’s medical record in a timely manner according to Tabitha’s policies and procedures. Follows department protocol for submission of completed documentation with particular attention to accuracy and timeliness.
- Provides direction and monitors Med Aides delivering medications to seniors/clients. Follows through on the comprehensive care plan as developed for each individual senior/client.
- Provides supervision and education to seniors/clients for the self‑administration of medications. When applicable, assists in teaching the senior/client and/or caregiver the necessary skills to allow the senior/client to return to his/her home.
- Assists in writing and implementing a comprehensive nursing plan of care. Updates the plan based on changes in the senior/client physical and/or emotional state.
