Med-Surg RN – Common Spirit (50-Mile Radius Rule) Unit:
Med-Surg – 42 beds Ratios: 1:5–6 (1:6 at least once/week)
Shift: 12-hour (0630–1900, 1830–0700); weekends/holidays as needed Experience/
Skills:
BLS required; no titratable drips except Heparin Licensure/Rules: RN may not be employed FT/PT/PRN with any Common Spirit facility (CHI/Dignity); driver’s license required to verify distance Orientation: 1 week classroom + 2×12-hour floor shifts Floating: PCU or Burn units; within competency Patient Population:
Medical, surgical, orthopedic Additional: RT 24/7 on floor; centralized Tele station; charge nurse assigned; 1:10–12 nurse aide coverage; navy blue scrubs; artificial nails prohibited; pass/fail open-book exam (90% required) RTO:
Must be submitted upfront (≤7 days per 13-week contract)
