Production Manager, Operations Engineer
Summary Of Responsibilities
Team Lead serves as the primary resource for all production team members within their respective production team. Responsibilities include maintaining and enhancing operations by coaching, instructing, and coordinating production activities with the Area Lead, Production Manager, Production Coordinator, Safety, and Quality personnel to reach desired metrics.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Safety & Environment:
Ensures team participation and compliance with safety and environmental rules and training. - Quality:
Ensures quality output from team members, flags quality issues, resolves quality issues immediately. If not immediately resolved, quarantines the order and escalates to the Area Lead or the Quality Team. - Delivery:
Ensures production schedule is being met. Works with Area Lead to request materials, tools, information or additional resources when needed. - Productivity:
Reviews resources available and needed to meet schedule, works with Area Lead to balance workforce across plant, communicates overtime needs with team. - Equipment:
Ensures equipment is in proper working order, owns preventive maintenance on area equipment, requests work orders from Maintenance when required. - Job assignment:
Assigns jobs to team members based on training and ability while meeting schedule and ensuring material flow. - Tracking:
Ensures all parts are properly tagged when in or leaving the department. - Completion:
Ensures all jobs are completed, parts claimed in computer system with time, rework, or scrap. - Hours:
Ensures hours logged for all team members in department. - Materials:
Stages required job materials. - Time expectations:
Sets clear time expectations. - Collaboration:
Works with other Team Leads. - Production jobs:
Works production jobs.
- Education & Experience:
Six months to one year related experience and/or training. - Communication
Skills:
Must be able to read, write and comprehend English; read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. - Physical Requirements:
Corrected vision and dexterous use of both hands, able to lift up to 50 pounds, apply commonsense to instructions, ability to deal with multiple variables, strenuous work requiring corrected vision, balance, continuous standing up to 5 hours, repetitive stooping, kneeling, reaching, pinching, and lifting.
