Metalworks is looking for a motivated, production-minded individual with a passion for quality to join the welding department. As a Welder you will be responsible for creating a quality product while meeting production goals.
First Shift6A-4:30P Monday-Thursday and mandatory OT when applicable
The following duties will be required but not limited to- Reading blueprints and drawings and taking measurements to verify quality production
- Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements
- Operate angle grinders to prepare/finish the welded parts
- Align components using fixtures, calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces
- Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal)
- Set up/operate Robotic Welding cells.
- Provide continuous improvement feedback to help increase productivity
- Experience using MIG and/or TIG equipment
- Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
- Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing
- Attention to detail with an emphasis on quality and production efficiency
- Solid work history with past employers with minimum 5 years of experience overall
- AWS D1.1 certification or pass AWS D1.1 certification within 30 days of hire
- Proficient in English
