Material Handler
Verifies the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments and orders. Compares identifying information with bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records. Verifies that materials received are as ordered. May route incoming items within the company as directed. May utilize hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, conveyors, overhead crane, or other handling equipment to move material to and from and within the facility.
Maintains related records. May adapt procedures, processes, tools, equipment, and techniques to meet the more complex requirements of the position. Duties and tasks are frequently nonroutine. Resolves most questions and problems and refers only the most complex issues to higher levels. Works under minimal supervision. May assist in orienting and training lower-level employees.
- To receive raw materials or components into the operation, correctly process paperwork and ensure that material is in the correct location in the warehouse, yard or operational area.
- To ensure that any shortages/ overages or damaged items are reported to management promptly.
- Perform duties such as removing, cleaning or repackaging product once it has been received into the system.
- The position may be required to pull product from the warehouse, prepare and pack it, process packing slips, load trucks or stage product for shipping.
- The position may be responsible for constructing shipping containers such as crates or boxes and ensuring that product is packed correctly and safely to prevent product damage or injury to others.

Skills Required:
Minimum Education: High school diploma or GED
Minimum Experience: 2 years- preferred
Necessary
Skills:
- High level verbal and written communication skills
- High school level math skills
- Ability to operate lift equipment.
- Basic computer skills are required SAP, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
Work Hours
This position is typically and 810-hour shift with a forty-hour work week. The position covers all shifts. Some overtime may be required to meet production demands.
