Director Patient Care Services

Join to apply for the Director Patient Care Services role at Saint Luke’s East Hospital (SLEH).

The Director of Patient Care Services assumes accountability for the overall planning, coordination, and delivery of acute care services within the assigned departments. Most of these departments are nursing in nature but also may include other clinical services. The Director is responsible for utilizing and modeling Saint Luke’s values of kindness, respect, excellence, safety, and teamwork. The Director is responsible for the quality and safe delivery of care, outcome metrics related to patient experience, and stewardship of resources (staffing, space, equipment, supplies) including cost-center budget management.

The Director reports directly to the Chief Nursing Officer and collaborates with a team of Directors to ensure consistency and equity of processes and resources among similar units. Working collaboratively with the Medical Staff, the Director also assumes a leadership role in planning, developing and implementing programs, processes, and services that support the mission, vision, and strategic direction of the entity, system, and enterprise.

A strong candidate would possess excellent leadership skills, previous acute or critical care management experience, the ability to assess opportunities and propose innovative solutions, and act as an independent change agent.

Job Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of applicable experience
  • Registered Nurse (MO) credentialed by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NURSYS)
  • Bachelor’s Degree (required) and Master’s Degree (preferred)
