The Governance and Compliance Lead is responsible for ensuring that the outsource partner adheres to contractual obligations, regulatory requirements, and industry standards. This includes risk and controls management through a controlled program governance in which risk, issues and mitigations are monitored. This role requires strong stakeholder engagement, facilitating communication between onshore and offshore, while conducting audits and reviews to ensure standards are met.

Additionally, this role promotes continuous improvement, maintains thorough documentation, and cultivates a collaborative relationship with the Provider to enhance and compliance processes.

Governance Ownership and Improvement
  • Lead the development and implementation of governance frameworks to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate with onshore and offshore teams to establish governance policies that align with strategic priorities and organisational objectives.
  • Monitor governance and compliance performance, evaluating the effectiveness of policies and frameworks.
  • Implement necessary adjustments to improve compliance measures and mitigate any non-compliance risks.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure adherence to prescribed governance standards.
  • Address compliance abnormalities promptly to minimise business risk and ensure continuity.
  • Provide clear and actionable insights to the Business Services leadership team.
Compliance Definition & Assurance
  • Ensure all operations both onshore and offshore comply with relevant regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
  • Stay abreast of changes in the regulatory landscape and update governance frameworks accordingly.
  • Design and implement policies to uphold compliance and governance standards across all operational facets.
  • Work closely with functional leads and transition teams to integrate compliance measures into existing processes and to design a roadmap for increased compliance.
Risk & Controls Management
  • Collaborate with the Endeavour risk team to drive implementation of risk and controls frameworks and policies within the Business Services program.
  • Take ownership of the program risk register and actively work with different functional teams, cross-functional streams and outsource partner to plan effective mitigation strategies.
  • Foster a culture of accountability and transparency, ensuring stakeholders are aware of compliance measures and their effectiveness.
  • Drive a program rhythm and meeting cadence in which risks can be raised, discussed and addressed in effective ways.
What do we need from you

Now let’s talk about you:

  • 7+ years of experience in a similar role with a proven track record in risk management, including conducting risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in designing and implementing effective controls to mitigate identified risk to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledge of existing regulations within Endeavour’s industry and preferably continued previous exposure to ongoing changes in regulations.
  • Experience in data analysis and reporting, along with presenting clear, actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of conducting audits and assessments, and promptly addressing any abnormalities.
  • Proficiency in stakeholder management of senior stakeholders and the ability to understand different perspective, interests and objectives of each stakeholder group.
