Job Description

The Judicial Branch is a state‑funded Branch of Government that offers medical/dental/vision coverage, $20,000 free basic life insurance, a state‑matched 156% retirement plan, 13 paid holidays, earned paid vacation and sick leave, and more. This classification level serves as the primary administrative resource for managing and directing assigned administrative office operations, implementing legislative policies and mandates, and overseeing projects and services related to district, juvenile, and county courts under the Deputy Administrator for Court Services Division.

Job Duties
  • Supervises staff, which includes prioritizing, assigning and scheduling work; conducting performance evaluations; ensuring staff are educated; ensuring employees follow policies and procedures and maintain a healthy and safe working environment; and making hiring, termination, and disciplinary recommendations.
  • Assists county, district, and juvenile court judges and managers in areas including interpreter services, jury management, courtroom security, facility improvements, records management, and procedural manuals; responds to daily inquiries via phone or email; and determines appropriate resources needed.
  • Monitors federal and state mandates concerning court functions; develops and communicates new policies and procedures; and oversees their implementation.
  • Identifies needs and develops special programs to address court needs.
  • Interprets, develops, reviews, and updates agency policies and procedures; communicates and trains personnel on new or revised policies.
  • Serves as liaison for court user groups and stakeholders regarding assigned courts or subject matter.
  • Develops and maintains training materials for court personnel.
  • Performs budget management for trial court operations by analyzing, managing, and monitoring budgets for programs and services.
  • Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.
Requirements / Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or public administration or a related field; 6 years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.

All educational credits must be granted from an accredited institution approved by the U.S. Dept. of Education.

Physical Requirements

Sedentary work:
Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
