Responsibilities:
Overview
  • Connecting with current leaders and new leaders across the District to engage people in the leadership pipeline, helping them intentionally develop.
  • Tracking emerging leaders in their developmental process – including building and operating tracking systems for 200+ people.
  • Organize and maintain the CC (Credential Council) from an administrative level – to include coordinating meetings, interviews, schedules, reporting, etc.
  • Engage in licensing, ordination, and consecration interviews as needed.
  • Help coordinate and administer pastoral placement procedures around the district.
  • Serve as a liaison with the National Office regarding leaders across the district.
  • Maintain personnel database and files.
  • Care for phone calls, visitors to the office, appointments, etc.
  • Handle various other administrative needs for the Mid America District team.
  • Help host conferences, retreats, training events, and office gatherings.
  • Share general office responsibilities with the rest of the staff.
Other Matters of Consideration
  • This is a 30‑hour position paid hourly according to the number of hours worked per week.
  • A regular schedule of working hours will be established after hiring.
  • Staff meetings and trainings will be required as much as possible.
  • Other areas of service and obligations will be developed over time. This necessitates a very teachable spirit, a willingness to be led and to adjust to changes. As time goes on, the above position will be adjusted according to the needs of the ministry as a whole.
Accountability and Evaluation

A. Accountability

  • This position will report to the Leadership Pipeline Director.
  • Must be willing to be held accountable in personal matters as well as employment matters, and must be willing to yield to the guidance of the District staff.

B. Evaluation

  • After the first 90 days of employment, there will be an evaluation done by the District Superintendent and the Leadership Pipeline Director.
  • After the first six months of employment, there will be an evaluation by the District Superintendent and the Leadership Pipeline Director.
  • At the conclusion of the first year of employment and on a yearly basis thereafter, a regular performance evaluation will be done by the Leadership Pipeline Director and the District Superintendent.

C. Grievances

  • All concerns or grievances that arise should be directed to the District Superintendent.
  • If the grievance concerns the District Superintendent, it should be taken to the vice‑chairman of the District Executive Committee.
