Performs building maintenance and repairs and executes facility improvement projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Support overall sustainment of industrial facility and grounds through preventative maintenance, repairs, and upgrades; self‑direct and drive projects to completion with support from leadership.
- Maintain building, performing painting, and other related maintenance activities.
- Perform drywall, trim, door, and plumbing repairs.
- Install hardware in manufacturing and office environments.
- Manage materials and timeline for improvement projects.
- Communicate with leaders of production areas to coordinate downtime for project execution.
- Respond to emergent requests for repairs.
- Help create an efficient manufacturing facility by sweeping, removing trash, and cleaning debris.
- Perform major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment and work with management to develop project plans.
- Could potentially encounter hazardous chemicals.

- Proper disposal of waste such as recyclables, standard waste, hazardous waste, etc. is expected.

High School Diploma or Equivalent. Six months to one‑year related experience and/or training.
Industrial construction experience preferred.
Communication Skills- Must be able to read, write and comprehend the English language.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Medium Labor Intensive Category (Job Category
B). Tasks include lifting, carrying, walking, climbing, and operating machines. Work may involve exposure to uncomfortable conditions, personal protective equipment requirements, indoor and outdoor environments, and various physical activities such as stooping, bending, and extreemors. Employees should be able to perform these roles consistently throughout the duration of the job.
