Job DescriptionAs part of the sales team, this candidate will assist with sales growth by championing Lynx spring’s exposure to MEP Firms and driving balanced selling calls through the sales team. The position also provides business support and technical expertise for Lynx spring solutions (building controls, digital solutions, HVAC controls, etc.) and acts as the subject matter expert throughout the following sales stages:
- Customer meetings
- Discovery meetings
- Solutions development
- Presentations, proposals, RFPs, estimates, etc.
- Client onboarding
The candidate will be required to effectively communicate technical requirements to technical and non-technical buyers, increase buyer confidence, and collaborate with the sales team members to identify areas of opportunity to bring value to customers/prospects, support closing deals, and grow account revenues. The candidate will also be asked to work with the tech support team on escalated tickets and create tech tips and training documentation.
This position will assist with training for our customers and employees, test and document new products, and will be a liaison between Professional Services, Sales, Support, and R&D.
- Minimum of 10 years of BAS programming/field experience
- Working knowledge of equipment operations, building automation systems and controls, control applications, and integrations
- Knowledge and experience working with controls contractors and integrators
- Related experience and training; should include work in the field of HVAC and BAS controls, protocols, BACnet, LON & Modbus preferred
- Niagara AX & N4 Certification (working knowledge of Pro Builder/Workbench)
- Ability to lead and assist customers and employees with training
- Knowledge and experience with multiple BAS vendor product lines
- Self‑Starter
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Customer service focused
- Excellent organizational skills and a keen eye for detail
- Capable of testing electrical and electronic devices
- Layout of control components and drawings for controls
- Ability to work in a high‑stress environment and multitask
- Prepare and give technical presentations to explain to customers how the products and services work
- Work with the customers and Engineers to ensure the equipment meets the system requirements
- Communicate with the sales team to understand consumer demands and offer sales support where necessary
- Up to 25% travel required
- The employee should be aware of the Quality Policy and Quality Objectives and how they can contribute to them
- Cyber Security
- Computer networks and systems maintenance
The candidate must be able to pass a criminal background check, motor vehicle record check, and drug screen.
