Job Overview
The BIT Engineer at Nebraska Public Media supports and maintains the technical infrastructure that enables reliable broadcast, production, and digital services. This role is responsible for broadcast systems, IP-based workflows, and IT technologies to ensure high-quality on‑air and online content delivery. The BIT Engineer collaborates with engineering, production, and IT teams to troubleshoot issues, implement new technologies, and support live and recorded programming across multiple platforms.
Minimum QualificationsAssociate degree in computer science and two years of related technical and business experience. Two years of related technical and business experience may substitute for the required education on a year‑for‑year basis or post‑high‑school coursework in computer science and three years of related technical and business experience. Any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
