The Human Resources Director will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for all human resources functions of the two YMCAs. They will partner with executive leadership to align HR practices with the organization’s mission, values, and strategic goals while ensuring compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing policies and programs that support employee engagement, performance management, talent development, equity and inclusion, and organizational effectiveness.
The position will serve as a trusted advisor to leadership and managers on employee relations, workforce planning, compensation and benefits, and organizational change, and support employees in career and professional development.

Qualifications- The successful candidate will have a combination of the following education, experience and skills: at least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in human resources, with at least 2 years at a management level including direct supervision of HR staff members; thorough knowledge of HR functions including employee engagement/workplace culture, position classification, compensation, benefits administration, recruitment, selection, training, HR compliance, and employee relations, and a working knowledge of risk management and safety practices;
demonstrated knowledge of state and federal employment law; HR Certification preferred.
