Kitchen Attendant | Oxenford Tavern | Dream big with us!

The Oxenford Tavern is looking for a hardworking and reliable Kitchen Hand to join our back‑of‑house team. This is a vital role in our kitchen, and we are looking for someone who isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in during our busy service periods.

Your primary focus will be washing dishes, maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment and assisting with general cleaning duties. For the right candidate, there is also the potential to learn basic food prep work and grow your skills within our culinary team. You will need good availability across days, nights, weekends and public holidays. Sound like you – Apply Now!

• Engage in food preparation and additional tasks as directed by your team leader
• Proactively identify and address cleaning opportunities in all areas of the kitchen in line with our high food and safety standards
• Contribute positively to our culture of responsibility, which is centred around safety and procedural compliance

About you:

• You love working independently or as part of a team to perform routine tasks
• You have flexible availability across the day, evenings and weekends
• You are all about the detail and take pride in the work that you deliver
• You’ll be yourself and come as you are – ALH is known for its people!

Inherent requirements:

• This is a hands‑on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.
