Certified Nursing Assistant; CNA - Part Time Tabitha at Williamsburg

Overview

The schedule includes a weekend and holiday rotation. The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for enhancing the living experience for Tabitha’s seniors/residents/clients by performing various care activities in compliance with the care plan/service plan objectives. They contribute to the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being of seniors/clients through respectful, professional, competent and personable interaction.

Tabitha at Williamsburg in Lincoln, NE is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to work 6a-2p. This schedule includes a weekend and holiday rotation. The CNA’s duties are described in alignment with the comprehensive care plan/service plan objectives and aim to support residents in all aspects of well-being.

• Provides assistance with activities of daily living, including but not limited to bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, toileting, transferring/ambulation and continence.
• Assists with senior/client admissions, discharges, transfers and orientation of new employees.
• Follows department protocol for submission of completed documentation.
• Prioritizes assignments and adjusts throughout shift to meet changing needs of seniors/clients/caregivers/TEA Members/managers; responds to call lights when necessary.
• Performs duties as assigned by Tabitha, in the work environment and regardless of TEAMember preference.
• Follows the comprehensive care plan/service plan as developed for each individual senior/client.
• Complies with HIPAA regulations regarding privacy and safeguards Protected Health Information (PHI) at all times.
• Implements activities for the seniors/clients.
• Prepares, plates and serves meals, snacks and other foods as requested for seniors/clients.
• Assists with dining room cleanup and is responsible for housekeeping and laundry duties as needed.

• COMMUNICATION:
  Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the English language including medical terminology related to the job.
• PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  
  Ability to access the work area and safely perform the duties of the job. Vision and hearing within normal limits (with or without correction). Must have unrestricted lift/push/pull ability of 50 pounds, demonstrating strength and agility at Tabitha’s discretion.
• AGE REQUIREMENT:
  At least age 16.
• EDUCATION:
  
  High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• EXPERIENCE:
  
  6 months experience as an aide or caregiver preferred.
• CREDENTIALS: CNA certification in good standing as demonstrated by inclusion on the Nebraska State Registry required. MA-40 certification preferred. If MA-40 certification is used, CPR is required. All certifications must be kept up to date at the employee’s expense. Must meet Tabitha’s vaccination requirements.
