Summary

Principal Job Functions
Commits to the mission, vision, beliefs and consistently demonstrates our core values.Coordinates their assigned clinic’s daily operations related to administrative processes, patient scheduling and registration, and seamless access to healthcare services.Collaborates with all levels of clinic leadership and Bryan Physician Network Patient Access Manager to create and implement standard workflows regarding clinic scheduling and registration.Assists in personnel management; including personnel hiring, monthly rounding and API approval; travels to and spends time among assigned clinics; develops staff schedules and assigns tasks to ensure adequate coverage.Organizes, develops and revises procedures and protocols with Bryan Physician Network Patient Access Manager; leads audits of scheduling and registration processes to ensure information accuracy; oversees coordination of validation and revalidation of core job competencies.Plans, coordinates and leads new personnel orientation, training and re‑training sessions for new and existing team members pulling in other resources when necessary.Reviews each direct report’s competencies and level of performance, cross trains employees into specialized areas and documents training; provides Bryan Physician Network Patient Access Manager with strengths, weaknesses and training opportunities.Serves as a liaison between patients, clinic staff, providers, practice managers, supervisors, patient access manager and other departments to resolve problems and concerns; address all escalated patient/employee inquiries and complaints with Bryan Physician Network Patient Access Manager and clinic Practice Manager.Collaborates with Bryan Physician Network Patient Access Manager and other leaders to implement, maintain, and improve patient access workflows.Demonstrates expertise in Epic workflows and serves as a resource and liaison to Community Connect clinic clients; takes part in clinic schedule template building/creation and other special scheduling/registration projects as assigned; reviews Epic Upgrade items with Bryan Physician Network Patient Access Manager.Supports the Patient Access staff with patient‑facing tasks, such as registration check in/check out and answering phones, as needed.Supports the Bryan Physician Network Patient Access Manager.May perform the duties of the BPN Medical Office Receptionist as needed.Ensures adherence to established policies and procedures; promotes positive internal and external relationships.Presents a professional image and can communicate effectively in person via telephone or email or the patient messaging system.Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements such as HIPAA, CMS, and insurance guidelines.Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends in field of expertise.Participates in meetings, committees and department projects as assigned.Performs other related projects and duties as assigned.Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalency required. Associate’s degree in business or related field preferred. Minimum of one (1) year reception, patient access, or office experience in a clinic or hospital setting required.
