We are looking for a skilled, detail‑oriented Licensed Mental Health Practitioner to join our team. In this role you will be an integral part of our Behavioral Health Division and provide therapy to adult patients with mental illness at Lincoln Regional Center, a Joint‑Commission accredited state psychiatric hospital.

Job Duties
  • Provide individual and/or group therapy according to the individual treatment plan.
  • Share clinical observations with the treatment team.
  • Compile patient individual and group progress notes, documenting according to LRC Standards and DHHS/LRC policies and procedures.
  • Prepare for interdisciplinary treatment planning, actively participate in treatment planning and contribute therapist perspective and recommendations.
  • Participate in team and/or clinical meetings to address program concerns and needs.
  • Participate in performance improvement.
  • Attend and participates in program planning committees, in‑service training and monthly LMHP department meetings.
  • Present and participate in peer reviews to demonstrate competency.
Requirements / Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
  • Behavioral Health Practitioner IV:
    State of Nebraska licenses as Mental Health Practitioner and Alcohol and Drug Counselor.
  • Behavioral Health Practitioner III:
    Nebraska license as Mental Health Practitioner or Nebraska license as Alcohol and Drug Counselor AND Nebraska Provisional License as Mental Health Practitioner or Nebraska Provisional License as Alcohol and Drug Counselor.
  • Behavioral Health Practitioner II:
    Nebraska License as Mental Health Practitioner.
  • Behavioral Health Practitioner I:
    Provisional license to practice as a mental health practitioner in Nebraska.
Legal Requirements

Licensure requirements pursuant to Nebraska State Statutes 38‑2122 and 38‑316.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates who are fully licensed as a LMHP are preferred but those with a provisional license will be considered.

Other

Consideration will be given to applicants currently in process of obtaining the required licensure.

Pay
  • Licensed as a Mental Health Practitioner AND Alcohol and Drug Counselor with the State of Nebraska or as LIMHP: $35.989/hour.
  • Mental Health Practitioner or Alcohol and Drug Counselor License AND a Provisional license in the other: $33.478/hour.
  • Licensed as Mental Health Practitioner: $31.143/hour.
