Pay: $29.64–$43.70 per hour plus a $3.00 hourly facility differential.

- Under limited supervision, perform Certified Master Social Worker duties, determining client needs and providing complex therapeutic services.
- Serve as a member of the interdisciplinary team to participate in treatment planning for assigned clients.
- Liaise with the community as client needs warrant.
- Provide psychosocial assessments, individual and group therapy, and initiate and implement discharge planning.
- Manage a caseload of approximately 20 patients.
- Communicate through written reports to Mental Health Boards and Courts as needed.
- Provide clinical guidance to social workers, direct staff, practicum students, or volunteers.
- Work under the supervision of the Supervisor of Social Work.
- Certified Master Social Worker:
Master’s degree in social work and two years of Master Social Worker experience. - Recent and soon‑to‑be graduates and provisionally licensed applicants will be considered.
- Master Social Worker:
Master’s Degree in Social Work.
- Certification as a Master Social Worker by the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services is required.
- Certification as a Mental Health Practitioner by the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services is also required.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Certifications must be obtained before starting work; provisionally licensed applicants may start at a lower wage range.
- Theories and methods of social diagnosis; biopsychosocial assessment; family systems; systems theory; social institutions; crisis intervention; etc.
- Skills in observing and interpreting verbal and non‑verbal behavior; interviewing clients; conducting differential diagnoses; formulating goals; assembling relevant facts; discussing sensitive topics.
- Ability to conduct psychotherapy of a complex nature; interpret complex psychosocial phenomena; serve as role model; communicate practice and theory; mediate negotiations; generate creative solutions; write concise and accurate reports.
