Ultrasound Technologist – RadiologyJob Requirement
- Driver’s license required.
- License will be used to determine if the candidate resides outside a 50-mile radius
- ARDMS required
- RDMS (Medical Sonography)
- RDCS (Cardiac Sonography) or
- RVT (Vascular Technology)
- BLS required
- Nebraska license required
- Primary Shift:
- Monday–Friday | 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM
- Call Requirements:
- Every other weekend:
- Friday: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Saturday: 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM
- Sunday: 7:00 AM – 6:00 AM
- Weeknight call:
- 2 rotating nights per week | 7:00 PM – 6:00 AM
- Every other weekend:
- Holidays:
- 2 holidays per contract (call or standby)
- Modality: Ultrasound (Radiology)
- Scanners/Rooms:
- 3 scanners – Siemens Sequoia
- Equipment:
- Siemens
- Trophon (probe cleaning system)
- EMR/PACS:
- EPIC
- McKesson PACS
- Radiologist on-site: Yes
- RRA’s used: No
- IV starts required: No
- General ultrasound
- Breast biopsies
- IR procedures
- OR cases
- NICU neonatal imaging
- Doppler studies
- Strong experience in:
- Breast imaging and procedures
- NICU ultrasound imaging
- Average volume:
- 10–12 scans per technologist per day
- No routine floating
- When volumes are low, technologists may assist with patient transport for other modalities
- Department-specific orientation provided
- Orientation materials supplied by Supervisor
- Supervisor present on-site
- Scrub color: Slate Grey
- Scrubs not specified as hospital-provided
- Clear communication and documentation with radiologists and providers required
- Cell phone communication mandatory
- Personal and work email provided
