At University Health, our Vascular Sonographers deliver high-quality, patient-centered diagnostic imaging to support advanced clinical care. Whether in the inpatient setting or outpatient clinics, your expertise will directly impact clinical decisions and patient outcomes.

As a Vascular Sonographer, You Will

• Perform diagnostic and specialized ultrasound imaging, including vascular studies, with precision and compassion
• Support radiologists and residents during complex or advanced studies
• Act as a technical resource in your specialty area for colleagues across the imaging department
• Uphold imaging standards while working independently and collaboratively across care settings

• Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program
• Registered with ARDMS or ARRT (Sonography) upon hire, or within 12 months of hire
• RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) or VT certification upon hire or within 12 months
• BCLS certification required and must be maintained throughout employment
• Strong leadership skills and ability to communicate effectively with all members of the care team
• Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with patient positioning
• Demonstrates understanding of the human development process and ability to care for patients across the lifespan
• Computer proficiency, including the ability to input and retrieve patient data

• Passion for teaching or mentoring
• Interest in advanced vascular imaging technologies or quality improvement initiatives

• Work in a dynamic, academic medical center
• Collaborate with a team of radiologists, residents, and specialists
• Access ongoing professional development and certification support
