Nelnet Financial Services (NFS) is seeking an intern to join the NFS investments team, with a focus on structured finance investments/asset management. The hire will assist with a wide range of tasks related to the investment process including risk assessment, underwriting and performance tracking.

• Provide investment analysis assistance across various specialty finance asset classes including consumer unsecured, auto, small business, home improvement and other loan types
• Collaborate internally with employees and departments to accomplish work projects
• Maintain and update comparable deal tracker
• Complete special projects as assigned by management
• Manage multiple conflicting priorities & consistently meet deadlines

Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field

Relevant coursework in finance, accounting and business

Prior internship in finance or accounting preferred

• Attention to detail.
• PC skills in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
• Good oral and written communication.
• Ability to follow directions. Willingness to learn new processes.
• Knowledge of accounting practice and procedures.
• Energetic and enthusiastic attitude.
• Good work ethic and habits.
