Nelnet Financial Services (NFS) is seeking an intern to join the NFS investments team, with a focus on structured finance investments/asset management. The hire will assist with a wide range of tasks related to the investment process including risk assessment, underwriting and performance tracking.

* JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

*** Provide investment analysis assistance across various specialty finance asset classes including consumer unsecured, auto, small business, home improvement and other loan types
* Collaborate internally with employees and departments to accomplish work projects
* Maintain and update comparable deal tracker
* Complete special projects as assigned by management
* Manage multiple conflicting priorities & consistently meet deadlines

* EDUCATION:

** Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field
*
* EXPERIENCE:

** Relevant coursework in finance, accounting and business

Prior internship in finance or accounting preferred
** COMPETENCIES – SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES:
*** Attention to detail.
* PC skills in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
* Good oral and written communication.
* Ability to follow directions. Willingness to learn new processes.
* Knowledge of accounting practice and procedures.
* Energetic and enthusiastic attitude.
* Good work ethic and habits.
