In the Operations side, Egis C&O is a leader in financial structuring of PPP projects and in operation of infrastructures and services. Egis operates and maintains roads, highways, airports, and urban mobility services across multiple countries.
You must have the right to work in the UK.
You will be based in London and will be required to be in our office in Waterloo 3 days a week.
About the Role
- For related O&M projects and contracts, this role provides key support to the Head of Finance Business Partnering - C&O, from day-to-day operations to financial transformation.
- Support the transformation of the C&O BL finance function, from system implementation to the adoption of a new Shared Services based model.
- A self-starter who is agile and adaptable to changing business needs.
- Exposure to the wider Egis Group and cross-functional teams; ability to develop credibility with internal peers and external stakeholders.
- Partner to Operational Heads of O&M units and Project Leads.
- Provide support, insight and challenge around cost control.
- Quarterly project review meetings with Project Managers/Directors to assess revenue recognition and project performance, including profit margin.
- Project accounting, invoicing review, and management of project costing and billing in Oracle; resource assignment to O&M projects in Oracle.
- Cashflow forecasting, budgeting, and KPI reporting (monthly and quarterly).
- Month-end accounting (fixed assets, prepayments, accruals), quarterly balance sheet reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations, and reporting to the Head of Finance Business Partnering – C&O.
- Work closely with the Finance Lead, Project Accountants, and Commercial Managers; collaborate with the Egis UK Finance shared services team on billings.
- Liaise with external auditors; support the implementation of a new finance reporting solution and the ongoing operating model evolution.
What we need from you
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
- Significant finance work experience, ideally with familiarity on large projects.
- Advanced Excel and Office skills.
- Stakeholder engagement skills across a complex matrix organisation.
- Experience of business transformation.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines with accuracy and to communicate with senior-level business partners.
- Ability to synthesize large quantities of complex data into actionable information.
- Experience working in a matrix organisation with multiple countries, currencies, and tax jurisdictions.
