The New York City Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD) invests in a network of community-based organizations and programs to alleviate the effects of poverty and to provide opportunities for New Yorkers and communities to flourish. The New York City Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD) supports youth and community services through contracts with a broad network of community-based organizations throughout New York City.
Our central task is administering available city, state, and federal funds to a wide range of innovative, practical, and quality programs that positively impact youth and communities.
DYCD is seeking to hire a Financial Analyst in the Financial Management Division. Under the supervision of the Deputy Director, the Analyst should possess excellent analytical, critical‑thinking skills, be highly motivated and a results‑oriented individual.

Minimum Qualifications- Preferred candidate will have a degree in finance, accounting or a related field.
- Candidate should have related budget/financial experience, including a working knowledge of citybudget.
- Intermediate Proficiency in Excel is required (SUMIF, SUMIFS, IF, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, PIVOTTABLES etc.).
- Experience reviewing and reconciling complex financial data from multiple sources will be required to succeed in this position.
- Experience with NYC’s Financial Management System, PASSPort, and HHSA is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills will also be considered a preferred asset.

Residency RequirementNew York City residency is generally required within 90 days of appointment. However, City Employees in certain titles who have worked for the City for 2 continuous years may also be eligible to reside in Nassau, Suffolk, Putnam, Westchester, Rockland, or Orange County. To determine if the residency requirement applies to you, please discuss with the agency representative at the time of interview.
