The NYC Department of Design and Construction, Division of Infrastructure is seeking a Coordinator (Sustainability) to join the Sustainable Coordination team. The selected candidate will support the agency in planning and implementing sustainable, resilient, and equitable design and construction.
Responsibilities- Support planning and implementing sustainable, resilient, and equitable design and construction, aligning with PlaNYC 2023 objectives.
- Provide data analysis, create tools and guidelines, conduct workshops and presentations, and coordinate with internal and external entities to advance the division’s sustainability goals.
- Assist with Envision project certifications through the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure (ISI).
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, landscape architects, operators, and community boards, ensuring excellent communication and client service skills.
- Analyze infrastructure design and master planning for sustainable design, help develop policies to support design excellence, and identify risks and design issues for various infrastructure projects.
- Assist with the division’s varied portfolio of capital projects.
- Maintain and update the agency’s database on infrastructure projects’ use of various sustainable features.
- Support projects throughout the scoping, design, procurement, and construction phases類no issue.
- Ensure projects meet DDC’s Commitment Plan objectives.
- Liaise between contractors and DDC, maintain comprehensive project history files, and coordinate project schedules.

Minimum Qualifications- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, embodiment, and Power BI.
- Project management knowledge relevant to infrastructure work (i.e., roadway, sewer, and/or water main).
- Detail‑oriented, with the ability to manage projects and complete multiple multi‑trade projects on schedule.
- Experience with stormwater management projects and background in sustainable and resilient design and rating systems.
- Proficient in Primavera P6 scheduling and Envision Sustainability Professional (ENV SP) credential (preferred).
- Valid driver’s license (optional but highly recommended).
- Personal vehicle (optional).
