Job Description

Location:

Campbell Elementary School

Paraeducators assigned to the Early Childhood program will work with 3-5 year old children in a learning and social environment.

  • Assist in the classroom
  • Assist with breakfast and lunch set up/clean up
  • Facilitate learning, play, and self-help activities
  • Assist teachers in implementation of Individual Education Programs for children below age five with verified disabilities
  • Assigned non-teaching duties that include a wide variety of activities

This position will support the afternoon program.

Qualifications
  • 48 semester college credits (72 quarter hours) or an associate degree to comply with Title I requirement
  • If lacking the above, completion of NDE flexibility training within first 30 days, covering at least 12 semester credit hours in early childhood/child development or equivalent
  • Associate Degree in Early Childhood Development preferred
  • Must be 19 years of age and meet State of NE licensing requirements
  • CPR certified and hold a First Aid Certificate (or willing to obtain and maintain)
  • Must complete 6 hours of training or experience during first year; remaining 6 hours by end of second year
  • Citizenship, residency, or work visa required
Additional Information

Salary is $20.50/hour.

This position is subject to veterans preference.
