Responsibilities
Serving as an engaged member of the Engineering Student Services Team, the position will advise undergraduate students in the College of Engineering ENG using knowledge of ENG programs, policies, and procedures of the college as well as university programs. On behalf of the college and/or university, position will lead internal and external programs and processes that will impact student success in the college and university.
Position will leverage knowledge of college and university policies and procedures to critically analyze and map business processes and data to identify gaps and ensure maximum efficiency.

Minimum QualificationsMaster’s degree plus 3 years of advising experience post-graduation and a demonstrated ability to work with diverse student backgrounds required. Must have experience with Engineering undergraduate students. Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing necessary. Ability to effectively manage time essential. Must have ability to work with students in an advising setting. Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in using computers and database systems required.
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of a specialized area of advising and experience in an advising setting with students necessary. Must have ability to work independently, build relationships with external units, speak in front of large audiences, and communicate technical terms to a non-technical audience. Demonstrated knowledge of student information systems as it relates to academic advising, and understanding of a specialized area/program/process of advising essential.
Must have ability to supervise professional staff and advising programs and processes. Demonstrated knowledge of student information systems as it relates to academic advising, demonstrated ability to critically map and analyze business processes to ensure maximum efficiency required.
Master’s degree in Educational Administration preferred. Five years of student services experience post-graduation desirable. Experience working with a co-located academic program and experience navigating with UNL and UNO procedures helpful.
SalaryPosted Salary: $53,000/year minimum
