Description Of Work:
The Student Services Manager provides direct leadership and oversight to the facilitation and management of front desk operations within the residence halls and Nebraska Unions. This position is charged with creating a strong customer experience for students, families, guests and staff who interact with our front desk locations.

- Ensure the continuity of the business operations of the front desks.
- Analyze complex situations and independently determine how a policy should be applied that may impact a student’s experience.
- Recruit, hire, and train student employees on an ongoing basis, managing various schedules, maintaining payroll processes, and supervising the student staff that work in a 24-hour front desk operation serving the campus community.
The 24-hour nature of campus life, specifically within the residence halls, means that holiday, night and weekend commitments are necessary s is a position that involves a great deal of time moving between several managed locations and a comfort with creating casual conversations to make the best experience for our staff and the constituencies they serve.

MinimumRequired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with 1 year of experience in a customer service setting.
- Experience with administrative processes.
- Experience supervising.
- Demonstrated experience in interpreting policies and making decisions.
- Ability to understand, interpret, apply and communicate information.
- Demonstrated ability to apply analysis, policy and logic to complete processes.
- Ability to learn and disseminate knowledge of activities and services provided by other departments within Student Life and the University.
- Ability to use a variety of office related machines, equipment, and access systems.
- Experience supervising a large team.
- Experience with customer service in a university setting.
- Experience with administrative processes in a university setting.
- Experience with payroll and/or scheduling systems.
- Experience with mail services and/or delivery systems.
- Experience working with college students.
Posted Salary: $46,000/yr minimum
