Job SummaryThe Regional Sales Manager is responsible for managing the overall sales activities of the Industrial IBC division for the Southwest region; developing, growing and cultivating the region to achieve and maintain company sales and profit objectives through current customer base and new business prospecting.
CompensationStarting total compensation is between $100,000 to $130,000, which is a combination of salary and bonus as well as commensurate with experience and capabilities.
Key Responsibilities- Responding in a timely manner to incoming tasks (responding to requests for quotes, orders, technical question assistance, product selection, resolving customer issues).
- Outbound activities include following up on quotes, opportunities and leads and maintaining account relations.
- Gathering information to fulfill orders and transferring order information to customer service to be entered; communicating with customers on stock status, lead times and expected delivery dates of orders.
- Develop accounts by checking customers’ buying history; suggesting related and new items; explaining technical features.
- Assist customers with troubleshooting, reporting and tracking complaints.
- Assess competitors by analyzing and summarizing competitor information and trends, identifying sales opportunities. Develop a proactive plan to prospect new customers and opportunities and report in CRM system.
- Accomplish department and organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, or equivalent combination of education and previous sales or customer service experience.
- Related manufacturing industry experience preferred.
- The ability to build strong relationships with coworkers, customers and partners.
- Successfully perform duties with a sense of urgency.
- Must be persistent, action-oriented and results-driven.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
- Data entry skills and experience in using CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software, Microsoft office applications, and ERP systems.
- Travel will be required with this role. 6-8 trips a year and trade shows.
