Hemphill has been engaged by a high-profile, mid-sized organization headquartered in Waverly / North East Lincoln, with operations throughout the Midwest and across the U.S. This company has experienced consistent growth for more than 50 years and is strategically eager to welcome a new member to their financial accounting team as they continue to grow and prepare for the future.

This is a very attractive opportunity for an experienced individual who has built a solid accounting foundation (roughly 1–3 years in private industry or public accounting) and is eager to find a company and position that allows them to apply what they’ve learned while taking a clear step forward professionally. This privately held organization is an industry leader that works closely with many of the top sports organizations across the world and is on the cusp of significant expansion across the U.S. With that anticipated growth, we are searching for someone who is naturally forward-leaning, well-rounded, and operationally minded - someone who enjoys tinkering with process improvements and thrives in a role with variety rather than a narrow, repetitive scope.

Your scope of responsibility and career progression will include:

• Taking pride in the value-add associated with the quarterly and annual financial reporting process, including the consolidation of multiple legal entities - and back end analysis.
• Working closely with - and directly for - the Director of Accounting as you take on increasing ownership and deeper involvement in financial reporting, post-close analysis, budget vs. actual analysis, revenue analysis and projections, ad hoc reporting, and management-level strategic planning discussions.
• A significant portion of your time will be spent on challenging, engaging, and rewarding project work including, but not limited to:
  Project accounting, Process improvement initiatives, account analysis, reconciliations, fixed assets, and analytical job costing responsibilities.
