Corporate Tax Accountant - Large Diversified Organization - Hybrid Schedule - HEMPHILL EXCLUSIVE!

Hemphill is partnering with an excellent Nebraska organization who is growing and looking forward to welcoming a new member to their corporate tax team. This company is impressive, and continues to outperform expectations year after year and is looking forward to welcoming a talented individual to their team who is eager to position themselves advantageously for personal and professional growth long term.

We are searching for an individual who has established a foundation in public accounting and has seen a wide array of clientele, industries, and has served a diverse pool of S-Corps, Partnerships, and/or C-Corp clients. This organization has multiple lines of business and a structure that’s far from “simple,” so we’re looking for someone who will enjoy a diverse plate of work and is interested in developing a well-rounded skill set that will serve them well long-term.

• Report to a very impressive Director of Tax who has a strong technical skill set and is serious about success, but also doesn’t take themselves too seriously. You will report to a leader who also grew up in public accounting and has aimed to build a culture and camaraderie within their team that reflects the team dynamic commonly found in most public accounting firms
• Take ownership for several aspects of both federal and state tax compliance while having a hand in building and maintaining work papers throughout each year.
• Experience excellent mentorship while you’re intentionally involved in complex tax and strategic business structure discussions aimed at maximizing profitability and minimizing tax exposure - all while being gradually groomed for increased responsibility.
• Enjoy research and meaningful projects that will introduce variety to your plate of work and allow you to run with your ideas while given the opportunity to leave a personalized touch to your work.
• Long term career growth - this company is mid-sized to large, and has consistently grown for the past 40+ years. Many individuals in managerial or executive leadership roles today started in the Corporate Tax or Corporate controllers department and their careers developed naturally based on their individual skill set and personal career goals.
