Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist with at least 1 year of inpatient rehabilitation experience and current BLS certification for a critical access hospital assignment.
Responsibilities
• Inpatient rehabilitation unit within a critical access hospital
• Day shift, 5x8 hour schedule (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
• Facility has 25 staffed beds
• Floating to other units or affiliate hospitals is required
• Cerner EMR is used and experience is preferred
• Candidates will be expected to float within the hospital and to affiliate facilities as needed
• Grey scrubs are required as the dress code
• Parking permit is required but available at no cost
• Standard modules and onboarding are required and must be completed by established deadlines
• The first day of assignment is a virtual at-home orientation and may include additional modules
• RTO of 5 non-holiday days or less is automatically approved; more requires facility approval
• Candidates must be available to work at least 2 out of 3 major holidays
Requirements
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient rehabilitation experience required
• Active Illinois OT license required if applicable
• Current BLS certification required (AHA or Red Cross only; RQI cards not accepted)
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• SSN and DOB must be provided for consideration
• Must provide two professional supervisory references from the past 2 years
• Former staff or PRN employees must have a 12-month separation before applying as a traveler
