Pay Range: $135,000 - $185,000 per year

Job Overview

RWJ Barnabas Health is looking for a qualified individual for the Director of Radiation Oncology for our location in New Brunswick, NJ.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's required
  • Masters preferred
  • BLS required
  • ARRT/NJDEP licensure required
  • Minimum 5 years supervisory experience required in radiation oncology as Chief Therapist or higher role
Essential Functions
  • Coordinates and directs the daily activities of the Radiation Oncology staff to assure the accuracy of technical services and efficiency of the overall operation
  • Plans and directs the programs and activities for the Department, establishing short and long‑range goals and objectives
  • Responsible for planning and directing the administrative, technical and educational activities of the Radiation Therapy Department
  • Establishes and maintains standard of performance which governs all department techniques and procedures
  • Develops and monitors operating and capital budgets for the department
  • Establishes and maintains all department policies and procedures
  • Develops technical and/or clinical standards of performance for all department techniques and procedures
  • Standardizes processes related to treatment techniques and workflows across both campuses focusing on safety, quality and efficiency
  • Ensures compliance to hospital policies and guidelines of regulatory agencies included but not limited to TJC and DOH
  • Annually assesses departmental operating and capital needs and submits budget requests accordingly
  • Controls budgeted expenses and proactively manages budget variances
  • Improves processes and services to meet and exceed patient needs
  • Optimizes employee satisfaction through utilization of sound employee relationship practices and maintains high level of visibility and accessibility
  • Conducts annual performance appraisals
