Overview
The City of Lincoln City has a great opportunity for a full-time Content Coordinator. Explore Lincoln City is seeking a creative and organized individual to fill the full-time position of Content Coordinator. This position is responsible for developing, shaping, and distributing compelling written, visual, and digital content across various social media and digital marketing channels to inspire visitation, support economic development, and elevate the Lincoln City brand.
The Content Coordinator serves as a storyteller, producer, and curator of original content, capturing the Lincoln City experience through photography, video, and writing; sharing it through owned, earned, and paid platforms, including Explore Lincoln City’s website, social media platforms, newsletters, public relations efforts, and print materials.
The Content Coordinator regularly engages with local businesses, attractions, and community events to stay connected to what’s happening in Lincoln City and to authentically represent the visitor experience—in all, showcasing Lincoln City as a premier coastal destination.

- Develop, execute, and publish original consumer and industry content; document the essence of Lincoln City and present it to potential guests via various marketing and communications channels.
- Support organizational and marketing initiatives to drive traffic, engagement, leads, and awareness that increase visitation to Lincoln City.
- Produce original photo and video content for owned media (websites, social media channels, newsletters) and oversee budgets for photo and video projects.
- Coordinate content for Explore Lincoln City websites (landing pages, blogs, and other digital distribution); develop annual editorial calendars and support public relations through written and visual content.
- Manage Explore Lincoln City’s social media channels; create, post, and monitor content; maintain the annual content calendar and advise on future social media investments; develop platform-specific strategies.
- Create and distribute recurring electronic newsletters; contribute content for print collateral and web content including blog posts and paid placements.
- Maintain and organize Explore Lincoln City’s photo and video library; ensure assets are accessible and delivered promptly to internal teams and partners.
- Assist with identifying external content contributors, influencers, and partners as directed.
- Analyze content channels using key performance metrics; generate reports and provide recommendations to the Marketing Manager.
- Stay current on social media and digital marketing trends; research competitive destinations and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Visit local businesses and attractions to inform content development; attend events and capture material for social media and marketing use.
- Collaborate with internal marketing and City staff; provide marketing support to other departments as needed; coordinate with vendors as required.
- Maintain a professional and positive demeanor when engaging with stakeholders and act as a Lincoln City ambassador. Drive City-owned vehicles as needed.

- Mandatory Requirements
- High School education, or equivalent, supplemented by two years of college in communications, journalism, marketing, tourism or a related field, or two years of relevant work experience.
- Proficient with content distribution channels including online and social media.
- Strong verbal, written and visual communication skills, including copywriting, storytelling, editing, proofreading, and photo/video production.
- Working knowledge of social media platforms.
- Working knowledge of web-based content management systems such as Word Press or Craft and SEO best practices.
- Detail oriented, creative self-starter with the ability to consider a wide and diverse audience.
