Overview

JOB TITLE: Support Worker - Learning Disability/Mental Health

LOCATION: Mullagh House, Limavady

POST: 1x Permanent, 36 hrs. Reserve List for Permanent/Temporary, Part-time/Full-Time for Mullagh House

Mullagh Houses is a supported living accommodation providing care and support for 16 adults with mild to moderate learning disabilities. It is situated centrally within Limavady. Mullagh Houses provides 24-hour staff support services, 365 days a year, supporting tenants to develop skills and take part in day-to-day decision making.

Essential Criteria
  • QCF/NVQ 2 Health and Social Care or equivalent
  • 6 months experience in a formal care/support role and previous experience of working with individuals with learning disabilities/mental health issues
  • Must be currently registered with NISCC or, if new to the sector, must achieve registration within 6 months
  • Previous experience in administrative duties
  • Or: 2 years' experience in a formal care/support role and previous experience of working with individuals with Learning Disabilities/Mental Health issues
  • Must be currently registered with NISCC or, if new to the sector, must achieve registration within 6 months
  • Previous experience in administrative duties
  • Must be willing to work towards the completion of a relevant qualification
Other Requirements
