The Role Reporting to the Head of Production, the Quality Engineer will lead and drive the quality agenda across manufacturing operations, ensuring products meet internal standards, customer expectations, and regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
Develop, implement and maintain robust quality systems and procedures Ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications across production Track and report KPIs including scrap, rework, FPY and customer complaints Lead root cause investigations and implement effective CAPA actions Work closely with Production, Engineering and Maintenance teams to resolve quality issues Support supplier quality activities, including audits and incoming inspections Conduct internal audits and support external ISO audits Utilise quality tools including SPC, FMEA, Control Plans, PPAP and 8D Promote a culture of continuous improvement across the facility

The Person We are seeking an experienced quality professional who can combine strong technical knowledge with practical manufacturing insight. Minimum 5 years' experience in a quality engineering role within manufacturing Strong knowledge of ISO standards and audit processes Proficient in root cause analysis tools (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, Pareto)
Experience with FMEA and quality planning tools Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret production data Experience working with suppliers and supporting customer audits Confident communicator with strong organisational skills Detail-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset What's on Offer £45,000 - £50,000 salary Early finish at 12pm every Friday 30 days holiday per year Life Assurance (3x salary) Employer pension contribution Private medical cover (family option available) Ongoing professional development Supportive, team-focused culture This is an excellent opportunity for a Quality Engineer looking to step into a role with genuine ownership, influence and long-term progression.
