Telemetry Registered Nurse - Lima, Ohio

This role demands a registered nurse skilled in telemetry nursing with a cardiac focus, providing specialized care to a diverse adult patient population. Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care using thorough assessments, plan of care development, and ongoing evaluations.
• Manage patients primarily with cardiac conditions including chest pain, CHF exacerbations, and post-cardiac catheterization care.
• Administer and titrate drips such as Cardizem, Nitro, and Heparin; no pressors are used.
• Coordinate care and serve as a key point of contact among interdisciplinary teams and patient families.
• Maintain patient safety and quality improvement participation.
• Use clinical judgment in fast-changing patient conditions, responding promptly and effectively.
• Employ the nursing process with adherence to professional practice models and hospital policies.

Qualifications and Desired Experience

• Current RN license eligible for the state or compact state licensure.
• ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Certification required; CCRN and PCCN preferred.
• Minimum 1 year RN experience; 6 months in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
• Prior experience with telemetry and cardiovascular patient care including pre/post cardiac cath preferred.
• Competency in EPIC EHR system and critical care training is an advantage.
• Proficient in managing drips and familiar with routine lines and drains.

Additional Details

• 36-bed telemetry unit with advanced technology including Alaris pumps and Hercules beds.
• Focus on cardiac patients with some stable post-op drains and chronic respiratory support devices.
• Unit-specific dress code: navy blue scrubs.
• Night shift charge nurse role includes patient care duties.
