Registered Nurse (RN) – Coronary Care Unit – St. Rita's Medical Center

Job Summary- Deliver exceptional nursing care to patients in the Coronary Care Unit.
- Utilize strong organizational and leadership skills to assess patient status.
- Act as the service line between Med‑Surg and ICU units.
- Determine the priority of the patient’s problems and needs.
- Develop and perform patient care plans to enhance and improve outcomes.
- Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
- Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment, analyze assessment data, create a plan of care, implement treatment, and evaluate treatment effectiveness.
- Serve as point of contact for patients’ care coordination throughout hospital departments.
- Act as a patient safety advocate by participating in ongoing quality improvement in the department.
- Administer medications in a safe manner consistent with the State of Practice and the organization’s policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred, not required).
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association (preferred, not required).
- 1 year of RN experience (required).
- 6 months RN experience in an acute care hospital setting (preferred).
