Maintenance & Reliability Manager (Production Equipment Focus)

Avanulo, an established food production facility in southern Louisiana, is seeking a Maintenance & Reliability Manager focused on production equipment. The role is production-equipment first, with secondary responsibilities for utilities stewardship supporting ammonia refrigeration, boiler operations, and wastewater pretreatment.

• Lead maintenance execution for production and packaging assets—uptime, quality protection, throughput
• Build/strengthen planning & scheduling discipline—weekly schedules, daily execution, backlog control
• Improve PM effectiveness—right work, right frequency, verified completion
• Reduce repeat failures using practical root‑cause problem solving and follow‑through
• Strengthen CMMS discipline—clean work orders, failure codes, PM compliance, parts usage accuracy
• Improve parts/storeroom performance—critical spares, stockouts, cycle counts, vendor discipline
• Develop supervisors and technicians; set standards and hold accountability

Lead oversight of critical utility operations and risk control, including:

• Ammonia refrigeration system—supporting safe and compliant operation, contractor control, documentation discipline
• Boiler operations
• Wastewater pretreatment

Comfort operating in a high‑compliance environment is essential.

• 8+ years industrial maintenance experience with 3+ years in maintenance leadership
• Proven track record improving uptime through planned work discipline
• Strong planning/scheduling instincts and backlog management
• Strong CMMS habits and expectation‑setting for documentation quality
• Solid safety leadership (LOTO, permits, contractor oversight, incident follow‑up)
• Experience in food/beverage/CPG or another high‑uptime manufacturing environment

• Direct experience supporting or leading around ammonia refrigeration in an industrial setting
• Experience overseeing boiler and wastewater operations (leadership/ownership)
• Reliability methods background (PM optimization, criticality, condition monitoring, RCAs that stick)
• Demonstrated storeroom/parts control improvement

Competitive and commensurate with experience. Base + bonus for permanent roles; hourly/weekly rate for contract structures.
