Position OverviewWe are looking to add PRN phlebotomists to our team a's Medical Center. Phlebotomists will work on an as‑needed basis. Positions require full‑time training (usually on days) for approximately two weeks, three holidays a year, and every third weekend (12‑hour shifts for weekends).
Primary Responsibilities- Performs specimen collection procedures (nasal, oropharyngeal, venipuncture, etc.).
- Enters orders.
- Accessioning, centrifuging, and aliquoting.
- Generates reports.
- Provides basic customer service.
- Answers phones and forwards appropriate problems to proper area.
Phlebotomy Certification (preferred).
Education & ExperienceHigh School/GED (required). 1 year phlebotomy experience (preferred). Basic phlebotomy training (preferred).

- High stress and fluctuating workloads may occur.
- Exposure to physical altercations, verbal abuse, high noise levels, bright lights.
- Exposure to hazardous substances or body fluids, human blood and other potentially infectious materials.
- Limited exposure to fumes and odors.
- Requires travel to off‑site locations in adverse weather.
Weight lifting up to 50 lbs frequently (1‑33%), occasionally 50‑100 lbs. Repetitive arm/hand movements, balance, bending, sitting, walking, standing. Shift work required.
