Paramedic will provide care and transportation of emergency and non-emergency patients in the pre‑hospital environment and scenes at the Paramedic level of care defined by the Ohio EMS scope of practice. The role involves operating an ambulance safely and efficiently, keeping current on all required certifications, and completing continuing education.

• Responds to calls, performs patient assessment and triage
• Performs IV therapy and administers approved medications per Ohio EMS scope of practice
• Executes advanced airway management per scope of practice, including needle decompression and advanced airway placement
• Interprets cardiac monitor strips, all rhythms per scope of practice, and performs defibrillation
• Participates in required/mandatory trainings
• Provides proper care, safe, and efficient transport
• Maintains proper reports and records
• Cares for vehicle and equipment
• Maintains confidentiality and actively supports patient/family rights
• Serves as a patient advocate
• Performs other duties as assigned

  Valid Driver’s License / AHA Healthcare Provider BLS
• Licensure/Certification Required
  : AHA ACLS
• Licensure/Certification Preferred
  : AHA PALS, NRP, ITLS/PHTL within 6 months of hire
• Licensure/Certification Preferred
  : IS 100 and IS 700

• Minimum Years and Type of Experience
  : 1‑3 years preferred

• Emergency Vehicle Operations Course (EVOC) within 1 year of hire
