Plant Engineer Controls
Job Summary
Our client in Lima, OH is looking for a Plant Engineer Controls. This is a contract position.
Responsibilities- Use plant monitoring software to review cycle times of machinery, review and follow up machinery project's and installations.
- Troubleshoot PLC, robot, and other machinery problems.
- Update program backups for machinery.
- Program new installations of machinery and conveyor systems.
- Reprogram machinery for engineering changes and improvements.
- 2+ years of related controls and debugging experience.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering.
- Fundamental working knowledge of PLC logic and controls.
- Electrical Background (electrician or technician).
- Related experience.
- Siemens and Indramat servo and VFD drives.
- Familiarity with VFDs, Armor starts, encoders, network/Ethernet controls.
- 100% onsite position.
- Siemens and/or Indramat PL7.
- Ability to independently troubleshoot equipment and continuously evaluate equipment for improvement for quality and delivery.
- ABB robot experience or Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.
- Ability to read prints, AutoCAD, interpret and modify electrical schematics.
- Ability to read blueprints.
