The ideal candidate will share our values and be passionate about keeping our facilities safe, clean, and well-maintained.
Job Description:As a Maintenance Worker, you will be responsible for the upkeep and repair of our buildings and school grounds. This role involves both indoor and outdoor maintenance, ensuring our facilities are in excellent condition for the safety and comfort of students, faculty, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform routine maintenance tasks for both indoor and outdoor areas (e.g., cleaning, plumbing, electrical work, and general repairs).
- Maintain the school grounds, including lawn care, gardening, and other seasonal upkeep.
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner, ensuring the facilities are safe and functional.
- Regularly inspect buildings and equipment to identify and address potential issues before they become serious problems.
- Assist in setup and maintenance of school events and activities as needed.
- Work closely with school administration and staff to meet the facility's needs.
- Must be a born-again believer who aligns with our faith-based values and mission.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledgeable in general maintenance practices, including basic plumbing, electrical work, HVAC, and carpentry.
- Experience in outdoor maintenance, including groundskeeping, and landscaping.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required.
- Must have good communication skills and be able to work well with others in a collaborative environment.
- Previous maintenance experience in a school or similar environment is preferred, but not required.
